Admissions

Our program offers pre-selection admission for dietetic students enrolled in Indiana University Bloomington undergraduate and graduate programs that meet our eligibility criteria. Our pre-selection process will accept 10 of 16 students and is as follows:

• Apply for pre-selection within DICAS by October 1 to be considered (application fee required). You will need to meet the admission eligibility requirements for the program in order to apply for pre-selection.
• You will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance following the application deadline.
• If accepted, you will have until October 15 to accept or reject your offer into the program.
• After acceptance into the program, you will be given a link for Indiana University graduate school admission via IU-CAS.

Application instructions

1. Secure a verification statement from an ACEND-accredited didactic program in dietetics. If you do not have a verification statement, you will need to submit a Declaration of Intent to Complete form.
2. Craft a personal statement that includes your career aspirations.
3. Plan to secure two letters of recommendation (not a relative). You will need the names and email addresses of your submitters for the DICAS application. Please make your recommenders aware of your application and deadline, and give them three to four weeks to prepare. They will be sent a link to submit the letters.
4. Secure your transcripts and mail to DICAS Transcript Department, P.O. Box 9118, Watertown, MA 02472.
5. Be prepared to pay for your DICAS application fee.
6. Once accepted into the program, you will be instructed to apply to IU Indianapolis through the IU CAS system. Be prepared to pay your graduate program application fee.
