Tourism Management Minor

Minor in tourism management

Finding your favorite place in the workforce could be in the tourism industry.

The tourism management minor helps you land a career in destination marketing organizations, tourist attractions, travel businesses, and tourist leisure services. You’ll improve your knowledge and skills for this career path with courses focused on the management, marketing, and product development of destination marketing organizations, such as convention and visitors’ bureaus and state tourism offices.

You’ll also examine the relationships between tourism, sustainability, and development at local, state, national, and international levels.

In three years or fewer, depending on your schedule and courses offered, you can earn this credential.

  • The tourism management minor is open to current students, except tourism, conventions, and event management majors, and can be combined with any associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
  • In order to enroll in this minor, you must already be admitted. If you are not currently admitted, you will need to meet the admission requirements. Visit IU Indianapolis admissions for more information.
