Biography
Lauren K. Gilliam, MPAS, CHA/PA-C, is the physician assistant studies program director and a clinical assistant professor. She is a physician assistant whose teaching in primary care clinical medicine helps students better prepare to meet the needs of the medically underserved communities of Indiana.
Prior to beginning her appointment as faculty at the School of Health & Human Sciences, Gilliam was a physician assistant at Eskenazi Medical Group from 2014 to 2018. She also served as a preceptor and adjunct instructor for the IU physician assistant studies program from 2015 to 2018. She attended the University of Southern Indiana for her undergraduate degree, followed by the University of Colorado for her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree.
Gilliam joined the IU MPAS faculty full time in 2018. She serves on the admissions, curriculum, student progress, handbook, data analysis, alumni relations, awards and scholarships and executive committees. She is a member of AAPA, IAPA, PAEA, and ACLM.
