Biography
Jessica Isom, DPT, is a lecturer in the Department of Health Sciences. As a licensed physical therapist, Isom brings real-world clinical experience in healthcare to her teaching, offering undergraduate courses in the department.
Prior to joining the faculty at the School of Health and Human Sciences, Isom worked clinically in outpatient clinics, where she specialized in treating patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions. Her diverse clinical background also includes experience in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings. In addition to her clinical work, Isom has played an active role in mentoring and supervising students during their undergraduate internships and clinical rotations in physical therapy.
Isom graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.A. in biology. She earned her doctorate in physical therapy from Indiana University.
Isom is a member of the APTA and will be participating in the first-year experience.
