Biography
Elizabeth (Libby) Staats, PT, DPT, CCS, CEEAA, is a clinical assistant professor for the IU physical therapy program. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in psychology and received her doctor of physical therapy (DPT) degree from Indiana University.
Staats is a board-certified specialist in cardiovascular and pulmonary care, a certified exercise expert for aging adults, and the course coordinator for the cardiopulmonary, pathophysiology, and geriatrics class for the IU DPT program.
She continues to hold a clinical position at Indiana University Health, helping the development of the Crispus Attucks fellowship, a multidisciplinary post-intensive-care syndrome clinic, and the liver frailty program.
Her research efforts include the use of high-fidelity human simulation in physical therapy curriculums and has resulted in multiple national presentations.
