Learn skills while making a difference
Students in SHHS professional programs have the unique opportunity to gain experience at the Student Outreach Clinic. The free student-run clinic provides primary care-based medical, dental, social, and legal services for the uninsured and underserved in the Indianapolis community.
Led by IU School of Medicine, this clinic strives to close the health care gap in the community by coordinating a clinical presence to address a wide variety of conditions including infections, musculoskeletal complaints, high blood pressure, and depression.
The IU Student Outreach Clinic is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at the Neighborhood Fellowship Church, 3102 E. 10th St., Indianapolis, on a first-come, first-served basis.
