Long’s research focuses on the mechanisms of exercise intolerance in cardiopulmonary disease. He is interested in skeletal muscle function and how this is implicated in disease pathophysiology, as well as the use of exercise testing to identify novel therapeutic targets. Long is a passionate educator and particularly enjoys teaching cardiac, pulmonary, and renal physiology.
