Biography
Nathan Rothchild, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C, is the clinical education director and a clinical assistant professor for the Indiana University Physician Assistant Studies program. He is a certified physician assistant (PA) whose work and teaching in medicine has made significant contributions to the Indiana University PA program and to the patients of the Indianapolis area.
Prior to beginning his appointment as faculty at the School of Health & Human Sciences, Rothchild was a physician assistant in hospitalist medicine and an informaticist in the Indianapolis area. Before that appointment, Rothchild was an IU Indianapolis student in the health sciences and physician assistant programs. Rothchild graduated from IU Indianapolis with a B.S. in Health Sciences in 2014 and received his IU MPAS degree in 2017. He continued in his educational endeavors to earn his Doctor of Medical Sciences degree from Shenandoah University in 2023.
Rothchild's area of expertise focuses on general adult internal medicine and informatics. He has a specific interest in LGBTQIA+ medicine. He is a member of the Indiana Academy of PAs, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Physician Assistant Education Association. He is a director at large for the Indiana Academy of PAs and serves on the Statewide Advisory Board for the Indiana Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) program.
